What is Washable Paper?
Washable Paper – Looks like leather, washes like fabric, made from paper.
The Papercutz collection is designed with a sustainable vegan leather material called Washable Paper. The material is made in Germany under FSC Certification and Oeko-Tex Standard 100. Washable Paper is manufactured from 100% cellulose fibres and guaranteed no harmful substances are used during the entire production process, plus the material contains no Pentachlorophenol, PVC or BPA. Along with this and being dyed with vegetable dyes it makes Washable Paper food safe.
It’s also called vegan leather because it mimics the look and function of animal leather but of course is totally cruelty-free. It looks and feels like leather, thanks to the stretching of the
eco-cellulose fibres during the manufacturing process.
Washable Paper is one kind of vegan leather being a plant-based natural leather. Unlike synthetic leather, Washable Paper is natural, which makes it 100% biodegradable and recyclable yet sustainable, lightweight yet durable and eco-friendly.
